Thank you for supporting Boobs4Food through our first six months. We can’t believe it is already 2010 which means even more opportunity to fight hunger with Boobs4Food if you have yet to do so.

It was a no brainer to kick off 2010 by fighting hunger in SF at Glide Memorial Church with lunch service on Sunday January 24th from 11:30am – 2:00pm. We’ve had such an amazing time volunteering & serving Thanksgiving & Christmas dinners in 2009, we wanted to come back and fight hunger with Glide on the weekend.
We hope you can join us for a few short hours serving a fresh hot lunch to the many patrons of Glide Memorial Church. Typical responsibilities include kitchen prep (making sandwiches, shredding meats, cutting fruit) and assembling meal trays for each diner, all with a smile. Children ages 12 & up are welcome to participate.
Located in the heart of the Tenderloin, Glide Memorial Church is the only facility in San Francisco that provides three nutritious meals per day, to the city’s poor, homeless & hungry 364 days a year. All this is made possible by an amazing staff including James, Bruce, LaChe & Shannon and tens of thousands of volunteers like you and I. The food is churned out in a commercial grade kitchen, and served in two small dining rooms that accommodate up to 200 diners at a time. Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner is served daily, all monitored by a licensed nutritionist. Hearty, HEALTHY food is important, even for those folks who cannot access it on a daily basis.

Please wear closed toe shoes & comfortable clothing as we usually work under warm conditions and hot foods. A communal locker will be available to stow your coats & jackets, but please leave your valuables at home or in your car.
Structure parking is available along Ellis St. or you may also park under Union Square.
